Apple Cinnamon Spa Water

So I've had this recipe pinned on Pinterest for eons (okay, so it's only been ten weeks); it's originally from Lose Weight by Eating!, and it couldn't be easier (or tastier!).

If you're not familiar with the term spa water, it pretty much refers to any naturally infused flavored water (such as they would serve at a, spa water).  Spa water can be made in any number of flavor combinations (which I look forward to experimenting with), and this was a great place to start.

It's ridiculously easy to make this water.  Slice up a couple of apples (I used Granny Smith) and toss them in a pitcher with a cinnamon stick.  Add water and refrigerate.  The longer it sits, the more the flavor comes out, so I recommend waiting a few hours or overnight before drinking it (as opposed to the 10 minutes in the original recipe).  The original recipe calls to add half a pitcher of ice, but I had no ice and didn't find it necessary with the refrigeration.

Like I said, super easy, super yummy.  The flavor is subtle; it's not going to taste like a commercial flavored water.  It reminded me of apple cinnamon oatmeal, except, you know, without the oatmeal.  Very pleasant and comforting.  Plus it's super healthy for you; it has no calories and no fat, and apples and cinnamon are both said to boost metabolism.
