Trying Eggplant

This week, I went grocery shopping by myself.  Since Tom wasn't there to pick our new food, I picked.  I picked eggplant, because I had always loved the color and the price was right.

When I got home, I looked up eggplant recipes, and ultimately decided to go with Martha Stewart's Roasted-Eggplant Dip with Greek Yogurt.

Making it was fun; I rather enjoyed roasting it over the open flame of a gas burner.

When it was finished, I brought it to Tom for his verdict.  He said he disliked the aftertaste, but that it wasn't bad.  I however, wasn't a fan.

So far, our score is:

Alex: parsnips

Tom: eggplant (kind of)

In unrelated news, I'm seriously considering cutting my hair.  I'll get back to you on that.
