No matter what you need, NaNoWriMo has a forum for you!

Genre Lounges
If you want to connect with other writers in your genre, there are plenty of genre forums to choose from; I've found these to be especially helpful, because they can help inspire ideas as well as getting feedback about what other writers consider to be good genre fiction.  Sometimes your novel can straddle multiple genres (this is my second year writing YA Fantasy), and there are so many resources at your disposal!
  • Adventure
  • Chick Lit
  • Erotic Fiction
  • Fantasy

When you're really tired of eating, breathing, and sleeping novel writing, this is the place to go.  The forums here are random, but have nothing to do with novels.

Regional Forums
These are pretty self-explanatory.  You connect with other writers in your area.  It's a good place to find upcoming NaNo events (they have those, you know, like big parties where everyone sits around and writes. Ours are often at Purdue, but I didn't go last year).

Resources & Writing Support
Need help deciding whether or not your character should be Scottish or Irish?  Not sure what the proper tense of that verb is?  You can find answers here!
  • Helpful Resources & Sites
  • NaNo Soundtracks
  • NaNo Technology
  • The Polling Booth
  • Writing 101
I highly recommend taking advantage of the forums.  Even if you don't necessarily want to participate in all the things that are offered, your genre forum in particular can be a great sounding board for you.
