Wordless Wednesday: The Finished Product
Tuesday, March 19, 2013 I've kept you in suspense long enough (but then again, I literally finished painting an hour ago -- procrastinate much?).
Here is our delightfully turquoise living room! (If you haven't been keeping up with this ongoing saga, the color is Behr Mermaid Treasure).
I do have a question for you though -- I want to do accents in a bright color; I was thinking yellow, but do you think a green (kind of pear-ish or lime-ish, I suppose) would look better? I NEED YOUR HELP HERE PEOPLE!!!!
I love it. Absolutely love it.
Don't forget to link up!

The blue and the white already look great! I loooove blue. But if I had to pick an accent, I would choose green. (like the green in your "follow me on twitter" shade)
ReplyDeleteI love that color :)
DeletePink would awesome but not sure how your hubby would feel about that one! LOL.
ReplyDeleteHe loves pink, actually (he wore pink shoes at our wedding), and I did think about pink, but we've talked about doing pink accents in the bedroom and I don't want it to be overkill. I don't know.
DeleteI'm so indecisive.
Fun! I think yellow and green would both be great accent colors!
ReplyDeleteThat's why it's so hard to decide! :)
DeleteIt's beautiful! I would def go with green accents over yellow, but I'm admittedly not a fan of yellow in general.
ReplyDeleteThanks! We love it. It feels like an entirely different room.
DeleteI absolutely love that turquoise. I think either one will work.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
DeleteI love it! And your accents should be purple. :D
ReplyDeleteI'll leave the purple to you, Baneenee :P
DeleteHmm...maybe chocolate brown and green or chocolate brown and yellow.
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a brown person. Plus most of our furniture is black.
DeleteI love how the blue came out!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting WW, mine is up as well, if you want to join in...

Thanks!
DeleteI say a pear color!
ReplyDeleteI love pear green. Eventually, I want some pear in my kitchen.
DeleteLove the colour..I would go with yellow and maybe a splash of orange
ReplyDeleteSo citrus-y!
DeleteI think it looks great! I love blue and green together.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I love green with anything, really, though :)
DeleteI love that shade of blue! My bedroom used to be that color, so fresh and cheerful. I would go for an apple green accent color, kind of like your "advertise" button up top!
ReplyDeleteI really like that shade of green. I think I might need to pick up some paint chips and test out some shades.
DeleteIt looks fantastic! I would go for a minty green!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't considered mint! That might be a contender.
DeleteLooks great, I would go with a green, just not sure which one. Happy WW, looking forward to linking up again next week.
ReplyDeleteI do love a good green... ;)
DeleteGreat work! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteThanks! We do too :)
DeleteOrange!!! A nice orange will go nicely with that color. I want to paint my son's room turquoise, with an orange accent wall.

Orange did occur to me, especially since orange and blue are complementary colors, but for the most part, I really don't like orange.
DeleteI wanted to stop back by and say Thank you for stopping by Oh! My Heartsie Reviews to link your blog. Wishing you happy WW.

You have such interesting architecture. I'd roll with that.
ReplyDeleteOne of the perks of living in an old house :)
DeleteLove the wall color. I think the green would look great. I love the white trim.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting a linky!

To be fair, the white trim was already there, but I would have added it if it wasn't. I definitely want to touch it up, and paint the doors as well (the doors are an awkward off-white that looks really weird with the white trim).
DeleteFollowing from Wordless Wednesday at Create With Joy.
ReplyDeleteI would probably go with an understated color for the accents, since you've got that great bright turquoise color on the walls.
Thanks for the tip!
DeleteI love the color too and with the white the lines look so clean. I would not do any accents. Just some pictures or wall ornaments of some sort.
ReplyDeleteI definitely plan on putting in some pictures and stuff. And I'm actually considering not doing any other colors now, and just using the black furniture and silver metals for accents.
DeleteHi!
I appreciate you taking the time to comment. I read and respond to each and every one. Thank you so much!
